Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Uses soundwaves to produce images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and joints. This modality provides information on muscle tears, ligament tears, characterization of solid or cystic masses and other associated pathologies. This study takes approximately 20 minutes per joint or anatomical region. It requires the cooperation of the patient to perform maneuvers and positioning to complete the evaluation.
